Meet Nancy Badillo

Hi, I’m Nancy Badillo — wife, mom, digital marketing specialist, and your friendly guide to all things Atlanta.

My journey to the Peach State began in 2022 when my husband (a true Atlanta native) and I moved here from Chicago with our son, Jordyn, who’s now seven years old. I thought I’d slide right into life in the South… but let me tell you, I was in for a surprise.

When we first arrived, I didn’t know the neighborhoods, the best spots to eat, or even where to take my family on the weekends. I’d spend hours scrolling online only to find the same tourist lists over and over — nothing that felt truly local or useful for someone wanting to experience Atlanta in a real, genuine way.

That’s when the idea for The ATL Agenda was born. I wanted to create the kind of resource I wish I had when I first moved here — a place where you can:

• Discover hidden gems you won’t find on the standard “Top 10” lists
• Find honest, unfiltered reviews of restaurants, attractions, and events
• Get family-friendly recommendations that actually work for parents and kids
• See Atlanta through the eyes of someone exploring it for the first time

I spend my free time exploring neighborhoods, trying new restaurants, checking out seasonal events, and seeking out places where locals actually go. Sometimes it’s a fancy dinner with my husband, other times it’s an afternoon running around a park with Jordyn — but every adventure gets documented here, complete with my honest take on whether it’s worth your time and money.

My mission is simple:
To help you fall in love with Atlanta — one meal, one experience, and one neighborhood at a time.
